Michele Biasutti, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Psychology of Padova
University. He graduated with highest honours from the Padua University writing
an experimental Thesis.
He received a PhD at the same University discussing an experimental research
about soundscape recognition. He won a grant for a post doc follow ship at the
Department of Educational Sciences.
He is member of the psychologists association ("Ordine degli Psicologi")
of Veneto.
From 1987 to 1990 he collaborated with the Department of General Psychology
for research projects.
From 1990 to 1994 he collaborated with the psychology equip of Udine ASL, for the project "EIDOS" applying it in high schools and working in teachers training workshops.
Since 1993 he collaborated with the Department of Educational Sciences of
Padova University, doing research in the educational field. His topics are methodology
of research in education, curriculum planning, quality evaluation, environmental
and music education.
For reason of research and advanced study Biasutti spent time at Indiana University
in Bloomington and at the University of California at Berkeley during 1995.
On 2002 he was visiting professor at the University of Massachusetts. On 2003
and 2005 he was in visiting at New York University.
He participated at several research projects; among them the national research
project supported by MURST (Prin 2002) The evaluation of university teaching.
He is the Scientific Director of a research project supported by "Centro
di Eccellenza Interateneo per la Ricerca Didattica e la Formazione Avanzata"
University of Venice.
From 1997 to 1999 he was Director of refresher courses for teachers. He participated
to several international conferences (JIM in Paris, University of Bordeaux,
Fondazione Russolo in Varese, JIC96 in Bruges, ICA University "La Sapienza"
Rome; XIII Congresso SIPS; ...) also as invited speaker.
He was Scientific Director of the conferences Computer and creativity in the
school and of the International Symposium Psychology and Music Education PME04.
He was member of SIEM (Italian society of Music education) and SMPC (Society
for Music Perception and Cognition).
He collaborated with editorial companies such as Garzanti and Nuova Italia, with reviews and with radios. His papers were published on several reviews such as: International Journal of Psychosomatics, Attualità in Psicologia (Edizioni Universitarie Romane), Rivista di Musicoterapia (Edizioni Minerva Medica), Giornale italiano di Psicologia (Il Mulino), Hearing Research (Elseiver), Rivista di Psicologia, Tecnologie Didattiche, Pensa Multimedia. He is the author of the books: Scholar Autonomy and Educational Research (CLEUP), Environmental sound education (La Nuova Italia), Psychopedagogy of music (CLEUP, Padova).
Teaching
Michele Biasutti began to teach during 1989-90 academic year. At Padova University he teaches at the Faculty of Psychology (Degree for Psychological Sciences of development and education), at the Faculty of Education and at the Specialization School for Teacher Training of Secondary School (SISS of Veneto). He also teaches in first level Masters and second level Masters (Environmental Education) with the class Environmental Education and curriculum planning. He has
taught also at the Specialization School on Environmental Education (SEA).
